Appearance/Symptoms: Shiny, round objects imbedded between grooves. Similar appearance to pilling but objects are hard and consistently short in size. Small hoses may be visible on back side of belt. Bumps along back side of belt or localized wear spots.


Cause: Gravel or sand is imbedded in belt grooves(s) pushed by pulley ridges.













Solution: Inspect pulleys and remove any debris. Replace if necessary. If belt damage is severe, tensile cord breaks is likely. Replace belt.
